Create two unique proposals (using InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.) for the website your typeface will live on. Each proposal should include at least three sections: specimen, showcase, state-change. We should be able to visualize your website proposal by looking at these three pages. How can your website's focus not only reinforce but push forward the concept of your typeface? Remember to upload the sketches to your class website – either as an exported PDF, or images embedded in a simple HTML page.
Make your designs for a 1200px by 800px window, and show how the site will interact across at least 3 frames per direction (you'll have 6 images total). The designs should show how you'll display: specimen, showcase, and state-change. Be prepared to discuss your proposals in small groups.
Each designer will have 8 minutes to present their work and get feedback. The first ~4 be given to the designer to describe their project and motivations. The last ~4 will be for giving feedback.
Each designer will be paired with a primary critic – the designer before you in the critique schedule (the last designer presenting will comment on the first designer who presents).
We may need to run a bit late today.
Make sure to share your font name.
We’ll meet at 4pm sharp in N15. I’ll rent an extra display so you can hook up before your critique to save time.
